Roglic start the stage but falls for the 4th time in this giro and retires

Ayuso on the second last climb looses ground and will loose almost 13 minutes at the end

Del Toro loses contact with 5 kms to go and drops 1 minute, keeping the pink jersey with 30 second on Yates and Carapaz

Carapaz attacks and gains 1 minute

Scaroni and Fortunato who are team mates make a super long brekaway taking all possible mountain points. In the end they arrive hand in hands with Scaroni taking the stage

Pellizzari, free of soigneur role, rides to third.

Very short classification with lots of mountains to come

Andrea is 39th of 53 but might have choses a good team to retrieve position at the end of the giro
