Celebrations int he province of Como today:

Davide Ballerini was launching the sprint for his teammates but then a crash at the head of the group split the game leaving only two riders with 500 meters to go.

The contest

Davide Ballerini is from Cantù, close to Como and sometimes we have seen him pass us while on bicycle during our bike rides. He is the Record holder om most Strava segments in the area close to home (but he is not the local hero on most of these, check Elio on Strava for Giro Lagone)

Since he is from Como he opens the doors to the Tri-Gliceridi Show

Cobra Libre wins the stage and takes the leadership in points classification.

Cobra is the founder of Tri-Gliceridi team. The myth and legend wants him to be confortably seated in Hawaii when he invented the logo. he then captured his brother, a former high schoolmate and a bearded guy met at the simming pool to create the Tri-Gliceridi Team.

Bud, the bearder guy, wins the mountain stage. the only team to score points on the mountain stage today.

Bud entered quietly in the group at the team’s first official appearance at the Locarno Triathlon 2016, there was a picture of a guy exiting from the swim fraction with a huge belly and his huge beard. Bud Spencer had died a couple of weeks earlier and a comment came “is that Bud ?” and that’s where Bud comes from

Pizzoccheroman, the high schoolmate, fighting for the black jersey – with already 4 stages at 0 points, he is fighting with Fiorenza for the black jersey

Matteo would close any competition, ride, swim but more simply any day of his life with Pizzoccheri, and is starting a political campaign to become the next president of “Accademia dei pizzoccheri”

With three of the four member of the Tri-Gliceridi board of directors shining in the competition, there are a couple of other member in contest:

Biscia, the brother, sitting somewhere in the middle of the game

Biscia is know for being sistematically late to any appointment, actually he has recently been 8 years late to the events of the Tri-Gliceridi, but no worry he promised he will catch up. There is a golden rule in the team that whoever is late will need to pay breakfast to everybody else: your debit is in the thousands…

Supergiovane and Super-Supergiovane – Besides hiding behind a nickname, we know who you are and you know who we are…. don’t hide.
