Stage report:

After three days of GC fireworks, stage 4 gave the sprinters and the breakaway their moment. A big group of 34 riders went clear early, and the peloton let them go.

At the front, it was Mads Pedersen who took the win ahead of his teammate Quinn Simmons for a beautiful Lidl-Trek one-two, with García Pierna third. Pedersen also grabbed the green jersey, leader of the points classification.

Norway’s Torstein Traeen slipped into the breakaway and, with an eighth place on the stage, stole the yellow jersey from Pogačar. A new leader for the Tour!

A very close standing in the contest, with Scott Cycling Team by me taking the win over Giacomo Gheri, second again after his silver medal in stage 3. El Tiburón, leader of the polka dot classification, took third place. No big changes in the GC: Fred De Witt and Rene van Noort still lead, with Bud following in third.
