Two sprint stages in a row. The sprinters game before the first mountains

The Stage

The stage is not really flat and in the last Km we have some movements from Majka and Nibali heading in the first positions in the last km

But then the sprinters showed up and it was Arnau

In the end it is was Arnaud DEMARE with a powerful spring on Michael MATTHEWS and Fabio FELLINE

SAGAN was nowhere and lost Blue Jersey to Araud DEMARE

Demare happens to be French National Champion. In the last years the national champions have shown fancy jerseys where the national colours weer mixed with the sponsor colours. in some cases you couldn’t even distingish the national Champ shirt from team shirt (remember ARU in UAE team?)

Demare shows a plain Blue, White and Red Jersey, with no sponsor on it…. Chapeau

The Fantasy Giro

Fred de Witt’s The White Tornadoes wins the stage

Fred is another Veteran of the Giro and always show up in the game.

We have not seen Fred’s T shirt lately, maybe he will show national colours too

Not many changes in GC, just stabilizing a little bit

At the bottom of the GC, The “Triplettes de Belleville” (Emanuela Gazzola’s Gazzola Team, Alberto Torriani’s Neuroneubriaco and Rita Visonà’s Chi la dura la vince) go hand in hand scoring 2 points each
